Poor Sick Boy!
Joshua is extremely sick. He has had colds and stuff in the past but never anything like this! He started throwing up about 5 days ago, off and on. Then, 2 days ago he began vomitting anytime he put anything in his mouth, including water. We took him to the hospital on Thursday evening because he was vomitting, etc... so badly that we thought he might be getting dehydrated. 3 hours later they gave him tylenol and gravol and sent us home with strict instructions to keep him on a liquid diet and bring him back immediately if he didn't get better. So, yesterday we gave him 1-2 ounces of Gatorade or diluted apple juice at a time over the course of the day. He cried CONSTANTLY and just wanted to be cuddled. The liquids, however, continued to make him sick and so he is now starting a second day of his strict liquid diet (the hard part is no milk). Last night he fell asleep beside me on the couch before 7pm and is still asleep now, after 10am. I am so worried about him. He has not peed in over 24 hours and I am definitely taking him back to the hospital as soon as he wakes up. I really hope he's better before his first birthday on Tuesday!

We just spent 8 hours at the hospital, having tests run on the boy. They think it's just a virus but we need to keep him more hydrated ...
He's lost 4 pounds in 4 days. :(
oh my goodness. I feel so bad for him, and for you. There is nothing like the fear you can have for your child. Did you find out what it was? Was he able to nurse? One time Ben was pretty sick( but not that sick) and he wouldn't even nurse. Poor Josh. I hope he felt better for his birthday. Happy Birthday little one.
